OUTERPLANE UGC Policy
VA Games Co., Ltd. (hereinafter the “Company”) values the creative activities of OUTERPLANE users and respects the various forms of User Generated Content (“UGC”) created by the community.
This policy (hereinafter the “Policy”) has been established to support a healthy fandom culture and to ensure that users can freely create and share UGC while enjoying OUTERPLANE.
Through this Policy, the Company hopes to encourage more diverse and enriching UGC activities that utilize the Company’s IP.
Article 1. Definitions
- Game IP means all intellectual property owned by the Company related to OUTERPLANE, including images, music, sound effects, voice, video, scenario, world setting, and other content.
- UGC means content created by users that adds creativity to the Game IP, including but not limited to fan art, fan fiction, videos, live streaming, cosplay, and fan-made merchandise.
Article 2. Scope of UGC Use
Most forms of UGC creation are permitted within the scope of this Policy. Please refer to the examples below. For questions regarding other types of permissible UGC, please contact us at outerplane_contact@vagames.kr.
- Creating gameplay videos and live streaming on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch
- Creating and posting cosplay photos/videos, fan-made goods, and fan art to communities and social media
- Capturing and sharing in-game screenshots
Article 3. Non-Commercial Use Principle
- All UGC must be used for non-commercial purposes.
- Users may only create and use UGC for personal and non-commercial purposes and may not transfer access rights or ownership of UGC in exchange for monetary compensation.
- Users may not create, distribute, or provide separate games based on the Company’s Game IP, nor submit UGC to contests or competitions that are intended for commercial profit.
- However, if UGC is made freely accessible on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch, users may receive platform-provided advertising revenue, donations, or subscription benefits.
Article 4. Attribution and Unofficial Notice
- UGC must not mislead others into believing that it is officially created or endorsed by the Company.
- When sharing or distributing UGC, the following notice must be included:
This content is an unofficial fan creation. All related IP rights belong to VA Games Co., Ltd.
Article 5. Prohibited Content
UGC must comply with copyright law and other applicable laws in the user’s region and must not violate public morals or social order. Users must also comply with the Terms of Service and related policies. Matters not specified in this Policy will be governed by the Terms of Service. This Policy may be amended from time to time due to changes in relevant laws, guidelines, or internal Company policy.
Prohibited UGC includes the following:
- Infringement of third-party rights (e.g., copyright, portrait rights) or other unlawful acts
- Expressions of specific political views or positions
- Content that is discriminatory, hateful, defamatory, or insulting
- Content that causes sexual offense or discomfort
- Violent or cruel content that may cause disgust or discomfort
- Content that violates the values or internal policies of the Company
- Content that violates public morals or social order
Article 6. Enforcement and Management
- If UGC violates this Policy or applicable laws, the Company may immediately require suspension of posting, distribution, or transmission of the relevant content.
- Account sanctions may be imposed in accordance with the Company’s operational policies, if necessary.
Article 7. Ownership of Rights
- The copyright of UGC created by users belongs to the creators.
- However, the Game IP and trademarks incorporated into the UGC belong to the Company.
- The Company may use UGC created in compliance with this Policy for promotional or showcase purposes.
Article 8. Amendments
This Policy may be revised from time to time due to changes in laws, guidelines, or internal Company policies. Any amendments will be announced on the official website and community.
